Swiss Finance Minister Karin Keller-Sutter has filed a criminal complaint for defamation and insult against persons unknown after an X user asked Grok on March 10 for a vulgar "roast" of her. The chatbot used expletives, then asked if the user wanted something more extreme. Her ministry wants prosecutors to examine whether those responsible at X breached their duty of care.
A proposed class action filed March 31 in federal court in San Francisco alleges that trackers downloaded when users log into Perplexity's website give Meta and Google access to users' conversations with its chatbot, even in "Incognito" mode, Bloomberg reports. Perplexity said it had not been served any matching lawsuit; Meta said advertisers are not allowed to send it sensitive information.
Judge Nina Y. Wang, who sanctioned Christopher I. Kachouroff and Jennifer T. DeMaster in July 2025 over AI-produced citation errors, found in a March 25 order that their post-trial brief for Mike Lindell's FrankSpeech misattributed a district court case to the Tenth Circuit. She ordered them to explain by April 8 why they should not pay another $5,000 and face disciplinary referral.
Amelia Connolly, 23, of Alloa, pleaded guilty at Falkirk Sheriff Court to making indecent pseudo-photographs of children after police found four images on her phone that a prosecutor said all appeared AI-generated, showing a female child's face on an adult body. Sheriff Simon Collins KC deferred sentence until May 1 for background reports.
Brazil's Attorney General's Office (AGU) sent Google an extrajudicial notice on April 1 asking it, within five days, to de-index "nudify" sites that use AI to make fake sexualised images of real people, listing more than 40 links as examples, and to add filters blocking similar sites. It cites FGV-Rio research naming women, children and adolescents as the main victims.
The Nevada County district attorney's office admitted to California's 3rd District Court of Appeal that briefs in four criminal cases contained inaccurate AI-generated information, including citations to cases that did not exist, and said it removed one prosecutor from all casework pending an investigation. Civil Rights Corps argues the office appears to have misled courts and should still be investigated and possibly sanctioned.

Chief Judge Holly A. Brady dismissed Joseph "Joe Exotic" Maldonado's Endangered Species Act suit over four of his former tigers for lack of standing and fined his lawyer, Roger Roots, $1,500 over filings with misrepresented or nonexistent citations that the court suspected came from generative AI. Roots blamed a paralegal's filing of an earlier draft; the order goes to Rhode Island's attorney-disciplinary authority.
Chuck Norris's family says several AI-generated videos and posts are spreading false and misleading claims about his death, his health history and the people around him when he died, including fabricated past medical issues. The family, which announced his death on March 20 while keeping the circumstances private, asks people to trust only information from the family or an official representative.
Nkwanta-South Municipal Chief Executive Joseph Antwi says an individual is using AI to spread fake news about the area, exploiting the mastheads of well-known newspapers including the Daily Graphic, after communal violence that left seven people dead. Rotterdam neighbourhood councillor Patricia Reichman, 59, has been expelled from Leefbaar Rotterdam, according to Dutch outlet AD, after a campaign photo showed a far younger woman with different-coloured eyes. The party said the image was clearly heavily retouched by AI; Reichman says she only used an online program to boost resolution, insists "it's really me", and will stay on as an independent.
